PfeilFAQÜbersichtHow does a transfer for a .info/biz/org/us/name domain work?

General: A transfer of registrar to Schlund+Partner is not possible without the explicit consent of the owner/admin-c of a domain.

There are two ways to complete the necessary steps for a transfer to Schlund+Partner. A Form of Authorization (FOA) is always needed for the transfer.

a) Owner/Admin-C’s E-Mail address appears in WHOIS
After requesting a transfer the domain name's admin-c will be contacted per e-mail and informed about the transfer request. The e-mail will be sent out from transfers@registrar.schlund.info. The e-mail contains a link to a website (registrar.schlund.info). There the domain owner can agree to (ACK) or block (NACK) the transfer of the domain name. A domain transfer cannot be completed without receiving agreement.

b) Owner/Admin-C’s E-Mail address does not appear in WHOIS
We will send the requesting party the FOA as a PDF document along with the available WHOIS information, if an e-mail address is not available for the domain owner/admin-c in the WHOIS. This form needs to be signed from the domain owner/admin-c. The owner of the domain must also prove his or her identity.
The following can be used to prove the identity of the owner of the domain:

- Valid passport or state issued identification card
- Valid driver's license
- Valid official documents (Student ID, Handicapped etc.)
- Letter written on company paper
- Birth Certificate
- Notarized signature

A transfer of registrar can only be done when the domain is not locked. After receiving the approval of the domain owner the lock status of the domain will be checked. If there is a lock on the domain name the requesting party will be informed. The domain owner must then remove the lock with his or her current registrar.
